Shipping And Returns Policy

  1. Shipping within India

We usually ship orders within 2 working days of receiving them. Our working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Shipping times are estimated and given at the time of check out.

Please note the exceptions below: 

  • Orders of more than 5 pieces of the same product OR items marked under pre-order, it may take longer to process your order
  • Busy periods such as holidays or unforeseen circumstances
  • It could take 2 or more weeks for the item to be dispatched for items, not in stock.

      In these cases, we will keep you informed via email.

1. Returns, refund & more

Before you return a Bombay Toy Company product, please take a moment to understand how our products are made. Our products are handcrafted by local artisans in India, resulting in each product being unique and slightly different. The wood grain and knots you see on products are natural and a sign of the product's beautiful texture, not a blemish. Similarly, you will find uniqueness in our other products.  

The products are not copies of what is shown on the website – that is the charm of all products we sell! They teach the child about nature and its uniqueness. 

That said, if you change your mind about an order you placed or by chance, receive a damaged product, we are happy to help you. 

2.1 Cancellation Policy

In case you want to cancel an order, please email hello@bombaytoycompany.com or call us on +91 9324979689 within 24 hours of placing the order or before the order is shipped out. If you place a cancellation request after 24 hours of ordering the product, we will not recall it. 

Bombay Toy Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order if an incorrect price is listed or for any other reason. We will update you via email or call and refund 100% of any payment you may have made in such a situation.

If a non-delivery or late delivery occurs due to a wrong or incomplete name/address provided by the customer, non-availability of a recipient at the time of delivery, or related reasons on the customer's side, any extra costs incurred by us for re-delivery will be claimed from the customer.

2.2 Returns Policy

We accept return requests within 24 hours of order placement on all our products except certain products that may have a reason for hygiene (teethers for example) or an inability for the second use. Return requests placed after 24 hours of order placement are unfortunately non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Do also make sure you are returning the product for a genuine reason. :)

2.3 If the product is damaged

In case you receive a damaged product, please send us an email with the photo of the product received and the Order ID to hello@bombaytoycompany.com within 24 hours of receiving the product. We can offer you a replacement, repair, or refund.

  • If you choose to get a replacement, we will pick up and replace the product.
  • If you choose to get a refund instead of replacing a defective/damaged product, it will be credited to your original payment method.

Our products are designed to be sturdy and crafted with care. However, they may break or suffer damages if handled roughly. If the product gets damaged after use, we will not accept a return or offer a refund.

Please note that we reserve the right to reject customers' return requests in case of frequent returns from them. Some pin codes are also not feasible for a reverse pickup, in which case we will need to ask you to ship it back to us.

3. Minor Defect and Clearance Sale purchases are not eligible for return or refund.

In case of emergency delivery due birthday / travel please mention the same on the Notes and drop in a line to customer support. please note delivery to a  non metro cities  will take 5 - 7 working days.

A return of a product due to the customer being not available , the customer will be charged an  an additional charges of Rs 100 for shipping the products out again.

Refunds

We do NOT entertain refunds, we can offer a store credit for the same amount which will be valid for a period of 1 year. Shipping charges will are not a part of the store credit.

4. International Shipping Policy

We are delighted to ship Bombay Toy Company’s handcrafted wooden toys across the globe! Please read the policy below carefully before placing your order.

4.1 Processing & Dispatch Time
All international orders are usually processed and dispatched within 3 to 5 working days (Monday to Friday, excluding Indian public holidays). However, delays may occur in the following cases:

  • Large orders (more than 5 pieces of the same product)

  • Pre-order items

  • During peak holiday seasons

  • In case of unforeseen logistic issues or items not in stock (up to 2 weeks)

4.2 Shipping Charges
Shipping rates for international orders are calculated based on:

  • The total weight of your order

  • The destination country
    You’ll see the exact shipping cost at checkout before completing your order.

Customs duties, import taxes, and any additional local charges are not included in our shipping fees and must be borne by the recipient. We advise checking with your country’s customs office for details.

4.3 Tracking Your Order
Once dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking number to monitor your shipment. Delivery timelines vary by country and region, and may take between 7–21 working days from the dispatch date.

4.4 Returns & Refunds
We do not accept returns or offer refunds for international orders. As our toys are handmade with love and care by artisans in India, each piece is unique and variations in wood grain, texture, or shape are natural — not defects.

4.5 Damaged Products in International Orders
While we take utmost care in packing your toys securely, we are not responsible for any damage that may occur during international transit. Unfortunately, we cannot offer replacements or refunds for damaged international orders.
